Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND Endorses Chuck Hopson for Reelection

Waco, Texas – Texas Farm Bureau Friends of Agriculture Fund (AGFUND), Inc. has endorsed incumbent Chuck Hopson (R-Jacksonville) for Texas House District 11 in the May 29 Republican primary.

“Rep. Hopson is an important part of the Texas House leadership. He has consistently demonstrated his commitment to upholding Texas’ traditional, conservative values and the quality of life in rural Texas,” said Texas Farm Bureau and AGFUND President Kenneth Dierschke.

“Having grown up as a boy in East Texas, I know the value and importance of the agriculture industry,” said Rep. Hopson. “Farmers and the agriculture industry are the fabric of our community and I am honored to have their support. Having the support of the Texas Farm Bureau is solid gold in East Texas.”

During the 82nd Legislature, Hopson served as chairman of the House General Investigating and Ethics Committee, as well as a member of the Natural Resources and the Human Services committees. He also was vice chairman of the Rural Caucus and a member of the Texas Rural Health and Economic Development Advisory Council.
